The “Premio Claudio” originates from the desire of Ettore Alloggia, an Italian entrepreneur, collector and art lover with the purpose of providing a concrete support to contemporary art.
Entitled to his father’s memory, the “Premio Claudio” will nurture the already existing Alloggia collection. The collection, which includes an important number of works by historical artists, has lately begun to show a particular attention towards the most recent contemporary art practices. The Prize will allow systematic acquisitions on a steady basis, giving shape to a high quality and original body of works, which will contribute to reinvigorating Rome’s art scene.
The “Premio Claudio” will be launched for the first time during GRANPALAZZO 2016.
For its first edition the jury of “Premio Claudio” will be composed by Ettore Alloggia, Giorgio Angella (collector), Andrea Baccin (Editor in Chief CURA. and Director BASEMENT ROMA), Ilaria Marotta (curator and Editor in Chief CURA.), Alfredo Pirri (artist)
