miart 2016 with Bava and Sons

On the occasion of miart 2016 CURA. launches the new issue #21
in collaboration with Bava and Sons

Bava and Sons, founded by Alessandro Bava in 2014, is a design practice working on architecture projects, cultural commissions and research, with recent projects that include a collaboration with Simon Denny at Moderna Museet, an installation commissioned by Future Contemporaries at Serpentine Galleries in London, projects for Google Cultural Institute residency program in Paris at the Cartier Foundation \ LUMA Foundation and an upcoming mise en scène for Francesco Vezzoli in Monaco. Bava is also editor and founder of the ecology zine ECOCORE and co-founder of the art collective ÅYR.

The booth designed by Bava and Sons is “a homage to the new Milano, a memento mori of Umberto Eco’s Milano: magic space in which the determinations of the front-rear-right-left are not valid, and where any orientation is unprojectable.”

At a special price of 5 euros, the new issue #21 features a compilation of essays, conversations and visual projects by a group of awesome artists, curators and authors.

Body, identity, feminism, humor, information technology, display, language are just some of the main themes developed throughout the pages of the magazine.
