Was born in 1982 in Auckland, New Zealand. He is an artist working with installation, sculpture and video. Selected solo exhibitions include Serpentine Galleries, London (2015); MoMA PS1, New York (2015); Portikus, Frankfurt (2014); MuMOK, Vienna (2013); Kunstverein Munich (2013); Aspen Art Museum (2012). In 2012 Denny was rewarded the Art Basel Statements Baloise Preis. Denny represented New Zealand at the 56. Venice Biennale (2015) and participated in the 55. Venice Biennale (2013). Selected group shows include La vie moderne, La Biennale de Lyon (2015); After Babel, Moderna Museet, Stockholm (2015); Art Post-Internet, Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing (2014); Speculations on Anonymous Materials, Fridericianum, Kassel (2013); Image into Sculpture, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris (2013); Remote Control, Institute of Contemporary Arts, London (2012). He was included in the 2014 Montreal Biennale, the Biennale of Sydney and the Brussels Biennale (both in 2008).
