Was born in 1980 in Montevideo, Uruguay. She grew up in Buenos Aires, received an MFA in London and currently lives in Los Angeles. She belongs to a young generation of artists who are keenly aware of the long shadow cast by the history of painting, yet remain committed to the medium as a means of exploring new spaces of potentiality. She is concerned with the principle of mutability, and often appropriates the context where her work will be exhibited. For her solo show, Fear at the National Archeological Museum in Naples she also created a scent as a mean to update the sensorial conditions of the museum. She recently exhibited, This Mortal Coil in Los Angeles at Freedman Fitzpatrick and is presenting a selection of her most recent work, Angst vor Angst, at the Kunsthalle Bern.
