The 404 shelving system rethinks the classical wall bracket, an architectural element historically used to display statues. The shelf design is optimized to avoid waste: the form of each component of the shelf is the result of its neighbour, thereby enabling the maximum use of a single aluminum sheet. The system is inspired by an ethos of making do, so the plasma-cut edges of the shelves are their only decorative feature.
